In 1999, a group of Cracow's psychiatrists created a company, which founded and registered the Cracow's Unit of Mental Health "MediNorm".

The aim was to integrate the networking of treatment and psychiatric services, where it can better coordinate the various forms: a network of mental health centres, environmental psychiatry, and day clinics. This type of structures are recognized  in the world as a modern way of psychiatric treatment, allowing avoidance of unnecessary stay in the hospital, as well as significantly reduce the cost of the entire process of therapy.

Since it was established, despite the continuing difficulties related to   the ongoing reform of Health Services in Poland, Cracow's Unit of Mental Health "MediNorm" is offering a wide spectrum of non-hospital services, seeks to maintain a high level of treatment and help thousands of patients in resolving their problems.
